Bis auf das Haus Nr. 6 ließ Ludwig Roselius alle Häuser der Böttcherstraße ganz oder teilweise abreißen und wiederaufbauen. Er nahm an, dass das Haus Nr. 6 seit dem 14. Jahrhundert bestünde und somit eines der ältesten Häuser Bremens sei.
